Experience Elevated Travel with MWR LIFE
Luxury Travel Innovation
A private jet charter and fractional ownership leader is expanding, now offering a Caravan turboprop and amphibious float plane. This allows well-heeled clients to access smaller airports or remote destinations with no airports at all, enhancing convenience and exclusivity.
Recent Developments
JSX, known for its semi-private flights, is part of this movement. These new options cater to the unique needs of the very wealthy, ensuring seamless travel to exclusive or hard-to-reach locations.
Why It Matters
As Alasdair Pritchard from Knight Frank explains, “When clients buy their third, fourth, or even fifth home, the key question is: Can I land my jet nearby?” This consideration influences property choices. To meet this demand, professionals help clients explore alternatives, such as helicopter access at nearby airports or private airstrips on large estates.
Full Private Experience
For those seeking ultimate privacy, FlyExclusive—initially focused on jet fractional shares, jet cards, and on-demand charters—is now launching charter flights using an amphibious float plane and Caravan turboprop. This expands options for luxury travel without compromise.

Simplify Your Travel with MWR LIFE
Last-Mile Travel Options
Wheels Up, in partnership with Tropic Ocean Airways, makes reaching your destination easy and seamless—sometimes even landing on the beach. This service helps members access hard-to-reach locations like remote islands and private beaches.
Growing Demand from the Ultra-Wealthy
Knight Frank reports that ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWs) are increasingly buying third, fourth, and fifth homes in remote or difficult-to-access areas. They are turning to propeller aircraft and helicopters for convenient travel.
Wheels Up and Tropic Ocean Airways
Wheels Up has expanded its partnership with Tropic Ocean Airways, in which it holds a minority stake. This enables members to fly to more than 70 smaller airports in Florida, the Bahamas, and the Northeast U.S., including the Hamptons, Lake Placid, Fire Island, Sunset Beach, Montauk, and Block Island.
Last-Mile Travel Trends
“We see increasing interest in turboprops, seaplanes, and helicopters—it’s a trend that matches the options we’ve been developing,” says Wheels Up CEO George Mattson.
He adds, “Our members can combine long-range private flights with a final leg on a wheeled or amphibious Cessna Caravan EX for a luxury, seamless experience.”
Flexjet Expands Its Service
Flexjet is growing its last-mile helicopter service for fractional jet owners by acquiring rotorcraft companies in both the U.S. and England.
In 2023, Flexjet received approval to operate year-round helicopter flights between Florida and the Bahamas, expanding from seasonal service.
Eli Flint, President of Flexjet Vertical Lift, states, “Our clients now expect to access off-airport destinations wherever possible—whether that’s from Florida to the Bahamas or the Florida Keys.”
Book Your Ultimate Vacation Today
Experience the ultimate convenience and luxury with MWR LIFE. Book your exclusive vacation now and enjoy private jets, helicopters, and seaplane access to your dream destinations. Your unforgettable getaway awaits!

Explore More with Personalized Aviation Solutions
Flexjet offers its fractional private jet clients access to helicopter services in the Northeastern U.S., England, and South Florida. This provides ultimate flexibility for last-minute trips or remote destinations.
Expanding Footprints
Long-standing private and shared turboprop operators are growing, focusing on cost-effective options and to reach airports jets can’t access.
Tradewind Aviation added a Florida base in 2023 for charter flights and scheduled service from Stuart to the Bahamas. Like JSX, it offers** individual seats** on scheduled flights and uses private terminals to avoid crowded airports and long lines.
PlaneSense has increased its jet card offerings, allowing owners to fly Pilatus PC-12 turboprops with just 25 hours purchase. It also expanded service to the West Coast in 2021, opening a maintenance facility near Las Vegas to support increased flights.
SkyShare offers a days-based fractional program on preowned PC-12s, targeting customers in Western U.S. states. It introduced a lower-cost entry-level program, making remote travel more accessible for business flyers needing multiple daily stops.
Short-Runway Access
The PC-12 aircraft is famous for its ability to land on short runways and even grass airstrips, making it ideal for remote and private destinations.
New Initiatives
FlyExclusive is launching a Caravan and amphibious float plane in Miami to connect travelers directly to island destinations and private beaches—no runway needed.
Chairman Jim Segrave states, “Our new float plane and Caravan expand access to remote island locations and private waterfront properties.”
Beyond Second Homes
Air Charter Service is building a helipad and terminal at Silverstone race track near London, hosting over 1,500 flights during the British Grand Prix. The helicopter shuttles save travelers hours compared to scheduled flights, especially for international guests.
Technology Boost
Linear Air Taxi CEO William Herp highlights recent innovations, like the Cirrus SR Series G7+, the world’s first piston aircraft with FAA-approved autonomous emergency landing. The short runway capability (as low as 3,000 feet) makes piston aircraft a practical and cost-effective alternative to jets.
Herp notes that customers are now more comfortable choosing piston props if they get them faster and closer to their destination.
Linear has about 700 piston aircraft available for $750 to $2,500 hourly, plus fees for repositioning. It remains more affordable than chartering a jet.
Growing Demand
Mattson from Wheels Up remarks, “As demand for personalized, experiential travel increases, these aircraft and partnerships will be vital for last-mile solutions.”
Catering to Everyone
Not everyone needs or can afford a private jet. JSX is expanding for the everyday traveler with plans for up to 25 turboprops from ATR Aircraft, starting later this year.
This will add 1,000 more airports across the U.S., beyond the current Embraer jets, offering by-the-seat private flights at lower prices—often under $500.
CEO Alex Wilcox states, “Many airports were previously only for the privileged few.” No airports have been chosen yet, but this initiative aims to make private-like travel more accessible.

Bottles and bites at Domaine Carneros
If you’ve driven along Highway 12 in the Carneros region between Sonoma and Napa, you’ve likely seen the stunning chateau atop a hill. This French-inspired estate is Domaine Carneros—a tribute to France’s legendary sparkling wine tradition.
Founded in 1987 by Claude Tattinger, this 138-acre winery has been producing exceptional sparkling wines for over 37 years. From the classic brut cuvée to the luxurious Blanc de Blancs known as Le Rêve, Domaine Carneros offers a diverse selection. Today, CEO Remi Cohen leads the team, crafting more than 10 sparkling wines and a few still reds.
A tasting experience at Domaine Carneros is unforgettable but requires a reservation. Allow two to three hours for the full experience—so you can truly enjoy the elegance and glamour of this iconic house. Pair your wines with culinary delights like Peruvian bites, oysters, and caviar. The talented team also surprises visitors with off-menu wines and special pours.

Schramsberg was the first American sparkling wine served at a White House state dinner.
Back in 1965, Jack and Jamie Davies set out to create America’s most prestigious sparkling wine with Schramsberg Vineyards. The couple officially achieved success in 1972, when a bottle of Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs became the first American sparkling wine served at a White House state dinner. Since then, every president has poured Schramsberg at one point or another.
The charming property Schramsberg calls home is in Calistoga. The brand takes its name from its original owner, Jacob Schram, a German immigrant who purchased the land and started making wine there in the 1860s. Jack and Jamie’s son, Hugh, who was coincidentally born in 1965, oversees the winemaking today.
Although the team offers several tastings, we recommend booking one that includes a cave tour.
Dug in 1870 by Chinese laborers, it’s Napa’s original hillside wine-aging cave. Schramsberg stores its bottles in the caves today, and a fact-filled tour allows you to feel the region’s rich history.
An interesting piece of trivia: one of the reasons Schramsberg’s fizz is more decadent and luscious than other bubbles is that 25% of the juice is fermented in oak barrels. The resulting wine is complex, balanced and refined.

Discover Iron Horse Vineyards – a standout in Sonoma County’s sparkling wine scene.
Iron Horse Vineyards is one of the most prolific sparkling wine producers in the region. Its rustic charm and enchanting atmosphere differ from the more refined Napa wineries, making it uniquely attractive.
Founded in 1976 by Audrey and Barry Sterling, the estate defied the belief that Western Sonoma was too cold for wine production. The Sterlings pioneered Green Valley AVA, recognizing that cooler Sonoma climate is perfect for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Today, their children continue to run the certified sustainable and regenerative winery, overlooking a stunning valley.
Iron Horse offers a variety of sparkling wines, from late-disgorged bruts to classic pink champagne. The casual tastings often take place outside around wine barrels. It’s one of the few wineries where you can enjoy a picnic — outside food is welcome.
Reservations are required for both tastings and picnic tables.

Experience French Tradition at Roederer Estate
Roederer Estate is California’s branch of the renowned French champagne house, Louis Roederer. Since 1982, it has focused on terroir-driven bubbles that showcase Mendocino’s Anderson Valley.
French influence is strong here: the estate has had only two winemakers, both French. Sustainability is a priority—25% of the vineyard acres are farmed by the estate, and all grapes are grown on-site.
This year, Roederer opened a new hospitality center with stunning vineyard views. Take a sparkling wine tour to see how their exceptional wines are made and get a behind-the-scenes look at the winery. When hungry, try small bites like Marcona almonds, duck rillettes, or local caviar from their kitchen.
Discover Gloria Ferrer
Before Domaine Carneros, the Ferrers family—behind Freixenet, the famous Spanish cava brand—founded Gloria Ferrer in 1984 in Carneros. The winery is sustainably operated, with a strong focus on green practices, conservation, and biodiversity.
Visit the tasting room perched on a hill overlooking the valley, surrounded by beautiful olive trees that evoke Catalonia. The great news: you don’t need a reservation to enjoy a glass of Royal Cuvee Rose.
For those wanting a culinary experience, reservations are required for brunch and other tastings. The menu features tapas, charcuterie, and Spanish-inspired dishes like gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp).

The story begins with Brigitte Bardot, the iconic French actress. Lebanese businessman Jean-Prosper Gay-Para fell in love with her during her stay in St. Tropez. To win her affection, he built a luxurious hotel and nightclub — Hotel Byblos, opened in 1967.
While Bardot didn’t fall for his charm, a magical destination was born. The hotel and its famous nightclub, Les Caves du Roy, quickly became the hottest spot on the French Riviera.

Discover Singapore’s Marina Bay – A Family-Friendly Paradise
Singapore’s Marina Bay is famous for its modern architecture and innovative attractions. While it may seem too sophisticated for small children, it’s actually a wonderful destination for families with toddlers. With the right hotel, timing, and activities, your trip can be luxurious yet stress-free.
Dawn Ng from Singapore Tourism Board notes that Marina Bay offers age-appropriate activities and kid-friendly sites. The waterfront promenade is smooth and wide—perfect for little feet to walk or run safely while enjoying stunning city views.
Bring a lightweight, foldable stroller to make walking easier. Marina Bay is very walkable, but distances can add up. Use underground walkways—shaded, air-conditioned paths connecting malls, MRT stations, and attractions—ideal for avoiding the heat.
Singapore’s public transport, including MRT and buses, is stroller-friendly. For quick, comfortable rides back to your hotel, try Grab, Singapore’s ride-hailing app. Book a Grab Family vehicle with a child car seat if needed.
Gardens by the Bay is a must-visit. While the Supertrees impress adults, kids will love the Children’s Garden. It has interactive water play zones and shaded climbing structures. The Toddler Play area features soft surfaces, gentle water features, and interactive elements to encourage crawling, climbing, and splashing.
When it gets hot, explore the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest—both air-conditioned and stroller-accessible. Stay until evening to catch the Supertree Grove’s light-and-music show, a mesmerizing experience for all ages.
The Singapore Flyer offers breathtaking panoramic views of Marina Bay and beyond. The air-conditioned capsules provide space to move and are safe for children. The slow, smooth rotation makes the ride comfortable even for energetic toddlers.
Kids under 3 ride free, making this a fun, budget-friendly outing. It’s a relaxed way for the whole family to enjoy stunning scenery without worries.
Visit the ArtScience Museum for its Future World exhibit—a digital art playground designed with kids in mind. Interactive glowing slides, touch-reactive walls, and immersive installations make it perfect for a morning or post-nap outing.
Ng recommends checking out workshops like art puppet-making and storytelling sessions. You can also enjoy the Digital Light Canvas and even take a Sampan boat ride around the Rain Oculus for a relaxing experience.
Singapore’s food scene is world-class and todder-friendly. Visit hawker centers for affordable, casual dining with local delights like Hainanese chicken rice and noodle dishes.
For fine dining, visit during lunchtime and plan ahead. The Tiffin Room, with a heritage dating back to 1892, serves North Indian cuisine. Kids can try sweet potato chaat or Paneer Tikki, while adults enjoy curries and naan.
The Mandarin Oriental Singapore offers spacious rooms with harbor views—perfect for families. The staff are attentive to children’s needs. Its central location provides quick access to attractions, restaurants, and transportation.
After a day of fun, relax at the pool deck, which has a shallow wading area for little ones.
Marina Bay shows that family travel and luxury can go hand-in-hand. Its walkable layout and kid-friendly attractions make it easier to enjoy Singapore with toddlers.
While you might not fit in every fine-dining experience or rooftop bar, you’ll create magical memories through sights and activities that capture your child’s sense of wonder.

United Airlines Announces Exciting New Partnership with JetBlue
United’s MileagePlus program has been recognized as the world’s best airline loyalty program by Global Traveler Magazine, earning a perfect 10/10 score. While opinions on the best vary, this accolade highlights United’s strong reputation in the industry.
Big news—a new partnership called “Blue Sky” was announced on May 29th, uniting United and JetBlue. This alliance promises to bring significant travel benefits to frequent flyers, especially in key hubs like New York (JFK and Newark EWR), Boston, and nationwide.
As a longtime United high-tier member, I’ve often avoided flying JetBlue due to Boston’s prominence as JetBlue’s hub, offering many non-stop routes no other airline provides. However, this new alliance means more options and better choices for travelers like me—and for thousands of others.
Now, you have an exciting opportunity to explore new travel possibilities.
Ready to upgrade your travel experience? Book your next vacation with MWR LIFE and enjoy the benefits of this innovative airline partnership. Don’t miss out—plan your ideal getaway today!

JetBlue’s Blue Sky Partnership: Better Travel Opportunities
JetBlue is especially strong on the East Coast and in the Caribbean, with great destinations like San Juan, Puerto Rico.
JetBlue is not joining Star Alliance, where United is a founding member. However, the new partnership offers benefits similar to those of MileagePlus members when flying Star Alliance airlines like Turkish, Singapore, Lufthansa, ANA, Thai, Air New Zealand, TAP, and Swiss.
Star Alliance is considered one of the best global alliances because of its high-quality members and wide destination reach. Turkish Airlines, for instance, flies to more countries than any other carrier and often offers lower prices with excellent service.
While I’ve written about the advantages of Turkish Airlines for long-distance journeys on Forbes, closer to home—especially in the Caribbean and Mexico—JetBlue is now a more attractive option.
In the past, I avoided JetBlue mainly due to fees for seat selection and baggage and poor customer service when issues arose.
However, their robust nonstop network on the East Coast combined with the new alliance with United will improve both fees and travel experience.
JetBlue TrueBlue members will benefit even more, gaining access to United’s 350+ global destinations, including rare nonstop routes from the U.S. such as Marrakech and Bilbao.
This alliance means more options, especially for domestic and Caribbean trips. If you’re planning your next vacation, now is a great time.
Book your dream vacation today with MWR LIFE and take advantage of these amazing travel opportunities. Don’t miss out—start planning your perfect getaway now!

JetBlue’s Blue Sky Partnership: New Travel Benefits for Members
JetBlue offers popular routes to leisure destinations like Cancun, Mayan Riviera, and Tulum in Mexico.
Starting later this year, Blue Sky will connect the loyalty programs of United and JetBlue. It will be rolled out in phases, with the first part beginning this fall.
With this partnership, United’s MileagePlus members can earn and redeem miles on JetBlue flights. Similarly, TrueBlue members will be able to earn and use points on United flights.
This makes it easier to book and use miles across both airlines, though it may increase the difficulty for some United travelers to redeem awards due to increased options.
For United passengers with tier status (Silver, Gold, Platinum, 1K, Global Services), the main benefits include:
TrueBlue tier members (Mosaic levels 1-4) will also enjoy these benefits when flying United.
Both airlines will offer each other’s flights on their websites and apps for easier booking.
United CEO Scott Kirby said, “Blue Sky reflects our focus on innovation and customer experience. It gives MileagePlus members new ways to use miles and find flights that fit their schedule. We’re excited about United’s return to JFK and starting new flights soon.”
Take advantage of this exciting partnership. Book your next vacation now with MWR LIFE and explore amazing destinations like Cancun, Tulum, and beyond.
Start planning your perfect getaway today—your adventure awaits!

South Africa is another far-flung destination where United has non-stop service from the US.
Longer term there are some additional elements to the partnership, including the provision of United access to up to seven daily round-trip flight slots at JFK International Airport beginning in 2027, while JetBlue and United will exchange eight flight timings at Newark Liberty International Airport, increasing the options of each carrier in the competitive New York Tri-state market.
In making United its number one pick, Global Traveler explained, “The MileagePlus programme continues to impress with a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to meet the needs of frequent business travellers and leisure flyers. Among its notable features:
Points are valid for up to 180 months—one of the most extended lifespans in the industry; An expansive global network with access to 363 destinations, up from 342 in 2023;
A leading innovation in 2025: the first U.S. airline to introduce pooled miles, allowing families and friends to combine points for redemptions; Seamless upgrades via its mobile app, including automatic window or aisle seat reassignments;
The second-best long-haul legroom is 75 inches behind Air New Zealand’s Airpoints at 79 inches. These enhancements reinforce United’s commitment to enhancing passenger satisfaction, value, and global connectivity.”
That connectivity is about the get even bigger, with more travel benefits for frequent fliers, especially on the Eastern seaboard, Mexico and Caribbean.

Some of the world’s greatest vacation spots have served as the inspiration for iconic books. If you’re a dad who loves luxury travel and a good story, these destinations are perfect for your next getaway.

GoldenEye Villa on Jamaica’s northern coast, Fleming spots a field guide to the Birds of the West Indies and borrows the name of its author: Bond.
The year is 1952. An aspiring British novelist, Ian Fleming, needs to name the titular character of his first book, Casino Royale.
As he sits in the corner of a room at the present-day GoldenEye Villa on Jamaica’s northern coast, Fleming spots a field guide to the Birds of the West Indies and borrows the name of its author:
Bond. James Bond. Today, the GoldenEye’s main villa sleeps up to 10 people in its three bedrooms, each with tropical garden baths. Two standalone guest cottages, Sweet Spot and Pool House, sleep two adults comfortably. The famed property advertises a private beach, personal butler and housekeeper — perfect for the dad who lives a confidential lifestyle.

NoMad London is the former Bow Street Police Station, where Oscar Wilde was detained and tried
NoMad London, a luxurious 91-room boutique hotel, now home to tourists around the globe, was once the Bow Street Police Station that detained Oscar Wilde. Step back in time and appreciate the adaptive reuse — One wing of the original holding cells has been preserved and converted into guest rooms.
The hotel weaves Wilde’s legacy throughout: portraits by Napoleon Sarony hang in the Twenty8 NoMad restaurant, and subtle nods to his work can be found in the hotel’s library.
Guests can also visit the adjoining Bow Street Police Museum, which offers deeper insight into the building’s storied past and its famous former occupants.

The Shangri-La The Shard in London, one of the city’s most luxurious hotels, now offers the Bees in Bloom Tea at TĪNG Restaurant and Lounge on Level 35.
This afternoon tea beautifully combines nature-inspired pastries with an elegant presentation. Served on a stand decorated with dried florals, it features delightful treats like The Bee, The Ladybug, and The Marguerite Daisy. These are complemented by savory finger sandwiches and delicious pastries.
The experience ends with the hotel’s signature miniature chocolate Shard, decorated with a honeycomb pattern. Filled with berry mousse and served over dry ice, it offers a taste and visual delight.
Ready for a luxury getaway in one of London’s most iconic hotels? Book your vacation now with MWR LIFE and enjoy a memorable experience in the heart of the city!
Note: The references to “San Diego — The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum” seem unrelated to the main content about the hotel and tea experience, so I have omitted that part for clarity and focus. Would you like to include something about that as well?

L. Frank Baum found both refuge and inspiration at the Hotel del Coronado on Coronado Island. Between 1904 and 1917, he often stayed here during winter.
It was in this iconic hotel, off the coast of San Diego, that Baum wrote three Oz books: Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz (1908), The Road to Oz (1909), and The Emerald City of Oz (1910).
Baum also left a lasting mark on the hotel. He designed the crown-shaped chandeliers still hanging in the Crown Room, adding a regal touch to the space. In a 1905 poem, Baum described the island’s charm: “And every day her loveliness shines pure, without a flaw; new charms entrance our every glance, and fill our souls with awe!”
