With Tulum’s growing fame, Cohen clarifies what Colibri’s four properties avoid. “Tulum’s party reputation isn’t us,” he says. Instead, they offer refined dining, wellness, fitness, Tulum family vacations, and soft adventures like exploring Mayan ruins and cenotes. “Enjoy great beaches, restaurants, and optional nightlife elsewhere.”

Two hotels are side by side in the resort zone, while four kilometers away, two others adjoin in the national park, all beachfront, enhancing Tulum cenotes explorations.

La Zebra, the largest, earns 4.8/5 on TripAdvisor and 9.4/10 on Hotels.com, with staff, service, cleanliness, and facilities scoring 9.6.

Without loud nightlife, Cohen says the diverse accommodations suit varied budgets, earning loyal guests in Tulum dining experiences.

Lula, next to La Zebra, secures a perfect 5.0 on Tripadvisor, topping Tulum’s 243 listings.

Mezzanine and Mi Amor, in the national park, are adults-only, attracting couples with top ratings in Tulum romantic getaways.

Amid rising hotel costs, Cohen’s Small Luxury Hotels-affiliated properties offer value, with offseason rates from $300 and suites up to $1,500, accessible via Tulum airport.

Tulum’s Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport grows with direct US flights, though many prefer Cancun, 75 miles north, for more options.
