The interior of Archbishop Jean-Baptiste Lamy's chapel set up for Oracle Card Reading and Shamanic Healing.
The white-washed chapel is now an adjunct of the four-room Stream Dance Spa, where guests can find “Physical” and “Vibrational” treatments that incorporate local ingredients such as juniper, sage and bee pollen. Mindful meditation, sound bathing, breathwork and an ongoing series of retreats and workshops geared toward spiritual healing are on offer. Most unique, however, is the “For Spirit,” menu, which includes the Intuitive Energy Oracle Card Reading and Shamanic Healing with highly gifted Marina Pirkle, a shamanic healer, spiritual coach and clinical hypnotherapist, which takes place in the Chapel. Prepare yourself for the ultimate spiritual wellness experience with Pirkle, who guides you down a path of self-discovery and empowerment through energy reading, clinical hypnotherapy, chakra release and intuitive work that leaves participants feeling lighter, focused and more at peace.
Skyfire, the main restaurant, has a laidback vibe and stellar cuisine that incorporates organic bounty from the Chef’s Garden and bee-keepers on property. Locals and guests hang out by the fireplace in the center of the room, a bar at one end featuring live music and glass doors that open onto a patio with views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. The menu features an elegant, ever-changing meld of Mexico, Spain and New Mexico, with delicious tortilla soup, truffle bread rolled with huitlacoche served with chimichurri and red sauce, ruby trout and the chef’s unique interpretation of risotto.

There is a full calendar of weekly activities including archery, horseback riding, silversmithing with local artisans, an Orvis-endorsed fly-fishing outpost, yoga and hiking. In the summer, guests can enjoy opera outdoors. The Bluebird Cafe Songwriters Concert Series, hosted around the cozy stone fireplace in the Bunkhouse lodge, brings a Nashville legend to Santa Fe with renowned songwriters and performers who share stories about their inspirations, and often collaborate onstage. Dates for 2026 are January 16 & 17, 2026 February 20 & 21, March 20 & 21–book ahead.
In the evening, Bishop’s Lodge is lit up with lanterns, bonfires and twinkle lights that transform this spot into something even more magical for everyone, spiritually inclined–or not. “You can be rational, intellectual and science-based, and still believe in magic,” says Pirkle. Yes, you can.
A Historic Spiritual and Healing Sanctuary
Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, Amalfi

Dining by Design, a secluded outdoor dining experience at Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, once a 13th-century monastery that was transformed into a convent and now a spectacular hotel.
Tucked into the cliffs high above the Amalfi Coast, the award-winning Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel originated as a 13th-century Capuchin monastery, before it became a convent. In some rooms, like a former Prior’s, original details remain, such as hand-painted 13th-century frescoes. The environment remains hushed and tranquil, one where it’s easy to time-travel just a bit and imagine what it felt like as a cloister.
The 1345-foot Anantara Spa recently unveiled a new wellness menu with luxurious treatments by ELEMIS–the first in Italy–along with customized facials and an al fresco Yellow Experience, a couple’s massage with the local La Selva di Positano brand (infused with Amalfi citrus oils) overlooking the sea. The Spa features a hammam, sauna and steam, with elegant signature touches reminiscent of Anantara’s Thai wellness heritage. For example, the “Rejuvenating Journey” is inspired by the Anantara philosophy of Nam Jai, beginning with a Thai-inspired hibiscus- and frangipani-infused foot cleanse to release negative energy, followed by a revitalizing massage with a choice of calming monoi and coconut, rosemary and pine, or orange and fennel oils, followed by a relaxing facial.

The new spa at the Anantara Convento de Amalfi Grand Hotel features a hammam, steam, sauna and range of healing treatments.
The treatments are geared toward creating a sense of calm, evocative of cloister life. On November 20-23, the property will sponsor the Anantara & Technogym Wellness Retreat, with a focus on movement, mindfulness, and a mood of serenity inspired by Pace e Bene – the centuries-old monastic blessing of peace and goodness.
Enjoy stupendous views of the Mediterranean while sipping an aperitivo on the terrazzo surrounded by lush flowers and greenery. Take a dip in the pool overlooking the sea. Practice yoga or breathwork by the historic cloisters.

High above the Amalfi Coast, an Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel terrace showcases inconceivably beautiful views.
The Convent Garden provides fresh ingredients for the outstanding restaurants and bar. In the original garden, “the monks grew what they need for the kitchen, and used herbs from the garden to make medicine to treat people in the town,” according to Franciscan Friar Marcus, from Ravello, who is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Convento and is available for historical and cultural tours. Take a sunset cruise or tour the breathtaking Amalfi Coast in a vintage car, to experience unforgettable views,.
As it was 800 years ago, Convento is a peaceful sanctuary, with a spiritual and healing spa, where guests find calm, connection and a joyful experience.
