In May, the boutique hotel and restaurant Donatella will open its doors in Miami Beach for the first time.
This city is famous for its luxurious restaurants and luxury hotels.
Housed in a former 1920s bungalow in the historic Art Deco district, the Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant will raise the bar of luxury by opening its doors in May, combining modern style with a Mediterranean flair.
«From the very moment of arrival, you are transported to an oasis of calm and tranquility, as if time has stopped and everything around you becomes deeply personal.»
The Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, a kindred spirit to the famed Villa Casa Casuarina (formerly the Versace Mansion), exudes a similar enduring charm and sophistication.
Positioned a short distance from the legendary Villa Casa Casuarina, specifically two blocks along Collins Avenue, the Donatella Boutique Hotel is poised to become its sister establishment, adding to Miami’s collection of celebrated landmarks.
Originally conceived in 1922 by the distinguished architect Wallace Tutt, who also lent his talents to the Versace Mansion, the building housing the hotel has a rich history. In 2022, the Nakash family and Vida & Estilo Hospitality acquired the property, embarking on a comprehensive renovation project that transformed it into an exclusive six-suite luxury haven complete with a restaurant.
The hotel is the creation of Nakash Group and Vida and Estilo Hospitality, the same companies that created the famous The Setai and Versace Mansion in Miami.
«Every detail, from the architecture to the menu, is carefully thought out to take you away from everyday life to a world where time passes more slowly and the sea breeze feels especially long,» said Dib.
Accommodation here, with room rates starting at $450 per night, includes personal concierge and butler services, which guarantees an individual approach and impeccable service throughout your stay.
As a sister establishment to the famed Versace Mansion, the hotel’s design evokes a refined Mediterranean aesthetic.
Each guest room, named after an Italian icon, showcases a unique blend of natural, unrefined textures, incorporating stone and wood, complemented by golden highlights and mirrored ceilings.
Rooms are adorned with stone headboards, opulent vanity spaces, and carefully selected décor, including locally sourced art and artisanal pieces, connecting visitors to Miami’s rich cultural tapestry.
According to Dib, «This is more than just design; it’s about evoking feeling. Each architectural detail, conceived by Donatella, is intended to inspire memories, passion, and a sense of belonging, even when far away from home.»
Miami Beach Donatella Restaurant
The Donatella restaurant is scheduled to open next month, and it will become a new place where you can taste southern Italian cuisine in a coastal style. Led by Chef Alessandro Morrone, the restaurant’s cuisine draws inspiration from Neapolitan cooking, known for its brevity, rich flavors and an emphasis on top-quality fresh ingredients.
«At Donatella, we aimed to create not just a restaurant, but a whole trip to the southern coast of Italy, where each dish tells about history, traditions, simplicity and sincerity,» said Dib.
The menu will feature classic Italian dishes, as well as specialty dishes such as octopus salad, rigatoni with njua, cacho e pepe with black truffle, Milanese veal and shrimp from Skull Island.
Led by Chef Alessandro Morrone, the Donatella Restaurant is a great place to dine in the style of coastal southern Italy.
Designed for 170 visitors, with a separate room for small companies of up to 15 people, the restaurant offers an atmosphere of comfort and sophistication, reflecting the unfading charm of Italian cuisine.
«For over a year, we have studied, tasted, and collaborated with artisans who share our passion for quality and authenticity,» Dib tells Forbes. «In a city where visiting restaurants often seems inaccessible, Donatella invites you to come back again and again to enjoy classic dishes in a place where elegance is combined with warmth, and every guest feels at home.»
